Bluffton Weather

This is the Bluffton weather forecast for Old Town, the same for the town’s neighborhoods to within a degree or two. Storms here often build in the afternoon and pass quickly, so a forecast with rain in it is rarely an all-day rain. These are averages for Old Town Bluffton from ten years of daily records, 2015 through 2024, taken from a weather-model archive rather than a single weather station, so treat them as a good guide to a typical month, not a promise. July is the hottest month, with highs near 89°F, and August the wettest, at about eight inches over roughly 26 days with some rain. January is the coolest, with highs near 60°F and lows in the mid-40s.

Spring, March through May, warms from the low 70s to the low 80s, with the lowest rain totals of the warm months. Summer is hot and humid, highs in the upper 80s and rain on most days, usually as afternoon storms. Fall starts like summer, then September’s 84°F highs ease to the 70s by October, when rain drops to about three and a half inches. Winter is mild: highs of 60 to 65°F, and cold snaps are short. If you plan to be on the May River, the shoulder months, April, May and October, give the best mix of warm days and less rain.

Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30. A tropical system is a small chance in any given week rather than a feature of every trip, but it is worth a look at the forecast and a flexible booking if you travel in late summer and early fall. Thunderstorms are far more common, and the sandbar, kayaking and golf all stop for lightning.
