About Bluffton Family Chiropractic

Dr. Jeff and Carol Aita opened Bluffton Family Chiropractic in May 2003, after 22 years running a practice in North Carolina. Their children, Dr. Kate Aita Houpt and Dr. John Aita, now practice here with Dr. Lina, Dr. Lori, Dr. Courtney, Dr. Kurt and Dr. Dami. Dr. Jeff stepped back from patient care in July 2026 and still helps run the office. It sees whole families, from newborns to seniors, and has a Spanish-language page with the doctors' hours.

Techniques and other services

The chiropractors use several adjusting techniques, including Diversified, Thompson Drop, Gonstead, Activator, Active Release Technique, flexion-distraction and the Webster Technique, and offer intersegmental traction and cold laser therapy. Licensed massage therapists see patients by appointment for 30, 60 or 90 minutes, and Magnolia Midwifery, an independent practice, sees families in the same office.

Your first visit

Plan on forms first, then a consultation, an exam and X-rays if the doctor needs them. You may or may not be adjusted that day. On the next visit the doctor goes over the X-rays and a plan of care. Call or text to book, and ask which doctor works the hours you want, since each one keeps a different schedule.
