Shipmaster is a complex of townhome-style villas at 63 Shipyard Drive, in the middle of Shipyard on Hilton Head Island. It has its own pool, with a view down a fairway, and clay tennis courts, and its villas look out over the golf course or a lagoon, depending on the building.

The Townhomes
Most Shipmaster villas have two bedrooms and two and a half baths. There are three-bedroom villas too, and a small number of four-bedroom end units of about 2,500 square feet. They are laid out as townhomes, with a patio on the lower level, a deck upstairs, vaulted ceilings and a full kitchen, and there is parking on site.

Shipmaster sits among the fairways of Shipyard Golf Club, in the heart of Shipyard. The Shipyard Beach Club is about a 15-minute walk or a short bike ride along the leisure trails, and Coligny Plaza is just outside the Pope Avenue gate.
Booking Shipmaster
Shipmaster villas are owned one by one and rented by several companies, including host2coast and Sunset Rentals, and many are also on Vrbo. Some allow pets and some do not, so check the listing. Shipyard is gated. Whoever you book with authorizes a pass for your stay, which you pick up at the Pope Avenue gate or the US 278 gate. Staying inside the gate also gives you use of the Shipyard Beach Club.
