Buckwalter Place Park is the Town of Bluffton’s park in the Buckwalter Place district, off Buckwalter Parkway near the shops and restaurants of Buckwalter Place. It comes in two parts, close together in Buckwalter Place: a playground park with the Bluffton Veterans Memorial, and a newer amphitheater park with a stage and a big lawn. Both are free and open from dawn to dusk.
The Playground and Veterans Memorial
The original section, at 2 Venture Drive, has a playground with shade sails, an open lawn, a first-come pavilion, benches and tables. The Veterans Memorial sits in one corner: a brick plaza with a flag and a tabby wall carrying the seals of the military branches.
The Amphitheater Park
The amphitheater section, at 20 Carecore Drive, has a stage with seating, an open lawn, a walking path, restrooms and an enclosed building. The Town holds events here, including free concerts with food trucks: bring a chair or blanket. Both sections can be rented for private events through the Town of Bluffton, (843) 706-4500.
