The Skatepark
The Bluffton skate park is a concrete park of about 11,000 square feet, built by Artisan Skateparks for the county on the same site. It has bowls and rails. Helmets and pads are the sensible choice, and the county sets the park’s rules on site.
The Fields and the Expansion
Buckwalter’s fields host youth soccer and other leagues. In mid-2026 the county broke ground on a $14 million expansion that adds four multi-use turf fields, doubling the current two, along with more parking and a new restroom building. The county gives 18 to 24 months to finish it, so expect construction nearby until then.
