The Bluffton Bookshop opened in July 2026 at 89 Bridge Street, around the corner from Oyster Factory Park and steps from the May River. Owner Allyn Oliver renovated an 80-year-old house for it, and reviewers describe a carefully designed space with sitting areas, wallpapers and a reading nook.
The shelves cover fiction, nonfiction, romance, sci-fi, cookbooks and local interest, with sections for children, middle schoolers and young adults, beach reads, signed copies and books by local authors, plus bookish gifts.
