Lot 9 Brewing Co.

Hours
Lot 9 Brewing Co. is a small, independent brewery at 258 Red Cedar Street in Bluffton, tucked into a business park off Bluffton Parkway. The brewers own and run it, and the taproom pours only its own beer, from easy lagers to hazy IPAs and fruited sours. It is easy to miss from the road and worth finding.

What’s on Tap
The lineup rotates, with a few regulars and new releases most weeks. A recent board had an American lager, the Gold Standard Pilsner and an Italian pils, a Märzen for fall, a blonde ale, a hefeweizen, a dark mild, an oak barrel stout, a milkshake IPA and a New England IPA, plus Queen Sour and a Berliner weisse. Lot 9 also mixes beer “mash-ups” such as an apple shandy and a sour-and-juice blend, which suit people who don’t usually drink beer. Crowlers are filled to take home.
Food Trucks, Games and Dogs
There is no kitchen. Local food trucks park outside on many nights; the brewery posts the schedule on its site. Inside are long tables and tabletop games, and the calendar fills with live music, game tournaments, trivia and music bingo. Bring-your-own-dog nights welcome dogs. Event nights get busy, so come early for a table.
Hours and Nearby
The taproom is open 3 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, noon to 9 p.m. Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. For Bluffton’s other taprooms, including Southern Barrel Brewing in Buckwalter Place, see Bluffton dining. On the island, Hilton Head breweries has the rest.
What reviewers say
Visitors call it a small, slightly hidden brewery worth finding, with creative beers, fruit-and-sour mash-ups for people who do not drink traditional styles, and a strong double IPA and Tripel. Bartenders are friendly and good at suggestions. There are house root beer and craft sodas for kids and non-drinkers, a food truck on many nights, and a busy calendar of trivia and music bingo. Check its social pages before a quiet visit, since events fill the room.
