Greenhouse

Hours
Greenhouse is a New American restaurant at 1260 May River Road, at the edge of Old Town Bluffton, in a new white board-and-batten building with a covered porch. It opened in 2026, run by sisters Jenny and Melissa, who grew up in their family's restaurant, with Chef Todd Harris in the kitchen. The menu is built for sharing, the bar is known for its cocktails, and there is a speakeasy upstairs.
The Greenhouse Menu
Dinner is mostly plates to share, from $10 to $22: Korean fried chicken, potato croquettes with country ham, warm crab dip, Thai coconut mussels, beef suya with hummus and harissa, and salads like kale with sorghum vinaigrette. Large plates run from $22 for the Greenhouse burger or the chicken pot pie to $40 for steak and fries, with blackened snapper, rainbow trout and pork katsu in between. Cheese, meat and dip boards and brown butter honey cornbread are good starts. The menu changes with the seasons.
Most dishes are made without gluten, down to the burger's house-made bun and a chocolate cake, and the menu marks the vegan and dairy-free ones. Tell your server about any allergy.
Sunday Brunch and the Speakeasy
Sunday brunch runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with biscuits and Greenhouse butter, smoked salmon, a yogurt parfait, the crab dip and brunch croquettes with hollandaise. Upstairs, the speakeasy opens Thursday to Saturday evenings with its own drinks menu, and reviewers say the bartenders will make something off the menu if you ask.
Hours and Reservations at Greenhouse
Greenhouse is closed Monday and Tuesday. Dinner is 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Sunday, 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday, and 5 to 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. What reviewers say
Diners call it one of the best new places in Bluffton: a bright, good-looking room and fresh food built for sharing, with the Korean fried chicken, potato croquettes and crab dip named most. Brunch fans like the chicken and waffles and a vegetable hash with pork belly. The bartenders are named again and again, and the upstairs speakeasy, where they will mix something off the menu, is a highlight. One couple found the music loud, and the staff turned it down.
