Burnt Church Distillery is a working distillery, a restaurant and a cocktail bar under one roof at 120 Bluffton Road in Bluffton. It opened in March 2021 and makes bourbon, rye and single malt whiskey, gin, vodka and flavored moonshines. The Building and the Bar
The room is the draw before you order anything. The design mixes an old Southern warehouse, a Charleston storefront and a gothic church, with cathedral ceilings, tracery windows, stained glass, exposed brick and a few church pews scattered among the tables. The bar stocks the distillery’s own spirits, and the cocktail list leans on them. Reviewers name the Peach & Proof among the favorites, and there is a non-alcoholic list for anyone not drinking. Distillery Tours and Tastings
Tours are small: groups are limited to six, guests need to be 21 or older or with an adult, and a guide walks you through how the whiskey is made, from grain to barrel to bottle. There is a production tour and a longer history tour that adds the story of the Bluffton area. Bottles are for sale in the shop Monday through Saturday, closing earlier than the bar.
