Church of the Cross Bluffton is the white-and-grey wooden church at 110 Calhoun Street, in the middle of Old Town Bluffton, beside the park and the May River. It was built in the 1850s in the Gothic Revival style and designed by Edward Brickell White. It was one of the buildings that survived the burning of the town in 1863, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975. It is still an active church.

The historic campus has docents on Monday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and the church office is open Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Friday morning. There is no admission charge, and the docents give a tour of the building and its history. Inside, exposed dark roof beams rise over the wooden pews. Outside, the church sits a few steps from Calhoun Street’s galleries and restaurants and from the town dock, so it fits into an Old Town stroll.
