Woody’s Sunglass Shop Hilton Head opened in June 2014 at Shelter Cove Towne Centre and has stayed in the same unit since. Sisters Anne and Dee and Anne’s husband Dave bought it in March 2019 from the founders, Sharon and Woody Ladig, whom Dee had worked for, and they run it as a family shop. The range runs from fun, affordable Goodr and Blenders frames to Maui Jim and luxury Gucci, Saint Laurent and Bottega Veneta, with racks of children’s sunglasses.
Reviewers say the owners know their brands and give just enough advice, and some visitors make it their yearly stop for new sunglasses. The shop is closed on Sundays. It also named a Clydesdale at Lawton Stables “Woody” in memory of its founder.
