Heavenly Spa at the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort

Heavenly Spa is inside the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa at 2 Grasslawn Avenue, on the beach in the Port Royal resort area at the north end of the island. It has nine treatment rooms and a full-service salon, and it is open every day from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with hours that change by season. Hotel guests and visitors can both book: call (843) 681-1019 or book online. A treatment gets you the spa’s facilities for the whole day of your appointment.

Massages

The Heavenly Spa Signature Massage is a Swedish massage that starts with a heated compress on the back. The Island Stress Relief Massage uses magnolia oil and firmer pressure, and there is a warm stone massage, a CBD massage and the Deep Muscle Massage for the firmest pressure. Pea-in-the-Pod is the prenatal massage (not offered in the first trimester or for high-risk pregnancies), and the Duet Massage puts two people side by side in one room. Each comes in 50 or 80 minutes.

Facials, Body Treatments and the Salon

Facials run from a classic European facial and the Heavenly Signature Facial to age-corrective and wrinkle-repair facials and a HydraFacial. The two body treatments are the Heavenly Signature Body Treatment, an exfoliation and warm cactus wrap with massage, and the Island Coconut Body Bliss, a coconut sugar scrub with a clay mask. The Heavenly Salon does cuts, color and blowouts, manicures and pedicures, and bridal, bridesmaid and flower girl hair for weddings.

Prices, Gratuity and Booking Rules

A 50-minute massage starts at $150 on weekdays and $160 on weekends and holidays, and 80 minutes starts at $240. A 20% gratuity is added to every service, and you can change it when you check out. Arrive at least 30 minutes early. Cancel 24 hours ahead or you pay in full, and no-shows are charged in full. Spa treatments are for guests 18 and older; under-18s can book salon services with a parent. The spa does not take SpaFinder gift cards.

If you want the rest of the resort as well, the Westin sells a day pass through ResortPass to locals and visitors who aren’t staying there.

What Guests Say

Guests praise the massages, especially the prenatal and deep tissue ones, and therapists who ask what you want and then work on what needs it. They like having the jacuzzi, steam room and sauna to use around a treatment. The complaints are about the setting: the relaxation room is small, the locker rooms feel dated, and some find the prices high for the surroundings. Service gets mixed reports, so book ahead and confirm what your appointment includes.
