All Three Rollers Wine & Spirits Stores
Rollers has three island shops. Coligny Plaza (6 Lagoon Road, (843) 785-3614) is the closest to the beach. Palmetto Bay Road (9 Palmetto Bay Road, (843) 842-1200) is the flagship. Port Royal Plaza (95 Mathews Drive, (843) 681-8454) serves the north end. All three sell wine, spirits and beer, and all three close at 7 p.m. for liquor, Monday to Saturday.
The Palmetto Bay Road Store
This is the one with the wine bar and the patio. Rollers lists separate hours for the wine bar, beer and wine, mixers, cheese and charcuterie side: 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. The spirits side keeps the 7 p.m. liquor-law cutoff and is closed Sunday. It sits beside the Publix at Island Crossing, so one trip covers groceries and a bottle.
The Coligny Plaza Store
The Coligny shop is small but well stocked. Reviewers come back each vacation for its bourbon store picks, single barrels and allocated bottles, and for the rum shelf. It is in Coligny Plaza, steps from the shops, restaurants and the beach.
The Port Royal Plaza Store
For a stay on the north end, this is the nearest Rollers. Shoppers praise the selection of wine and spirits and the staff’s help choosing a bottle.
Buying Beer or Wine on a Sunday
The liquor stores are closed Sunday by state law. Beaufort County is on the South Carolina Department of Revenue’s list for the seven-day beer and wine permit, so the island’s grocery stores sell beer and wine on Sunday. The Hilton Head liquor stores guide has the hours rules and every store; Hilton Head grocery stores covers the Sunday option.
