Palmetto Dunes pickleball is played at the Tennis & Pickleball Center, in the middle of the Palmetto Dunes resort. It has 24 dedicated pickleball courts, more than the center has for tennis. You do not have to be staying in Palmetto Dunes: the center is open to the public.
Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Courts and Lights
The center has 24 pickleball courts, and eight of them are lit by a timer system for night play. Lit courts are first come, first served any time after dark until 10 p.m., so there is nothing to reserve if you want an evening game. The daytime courts are rented by the hour. Closed-toe athletic shoes are the rule throughout the center.
Pickleball at Palmetto Dunes: Reserving a Court
Anyone, guest or member, can reserve court time three days ahead. Guests staying in a resort-managed rental can reserve five days ahead and get complimentary court time when it is available. If you did not bring a paddle, one rents for $4 for your court time, and there is no charge for a paddle during a lesson, clinic or round robin. Cancel more than an hour before your time for a full refund; inside the hour there is none.
Palmetto Dunes Pickleball Schedule: Clinics and Round Robins
Clinics and programs are booked online, and the Palmetto Dunes pickleball schedule depends on the season, so check the center’s booking page for the week you are here rather than counting on a fixed day. Lessons are available to reserve in advance as well. Guests in a resort-managed rental get up to 15 percent off lessons with the resort’s amenity card.
