Firemost Pizza on Daufuskie Island
Firemost Pizza makes takeout pizza by the Freeport docks on Daufuskie Island, at 256 Cooper River Landing Road, next to the Old Daufuskie Crab Company. It is an evening stop: Google lists it open Wednesday to Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. and closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, hours the business confirmed there this summer.
What Firemost Makes
The pies are thin and crisp, cut into squares, and come in one large size. Pepperoni is the one most people order, and the specialty pies go further, with burrata, sausage and red onion among the toppings. Reviewers praise the crust and the quick, friendly service; the one complaint is price, with a plain cheese pizza at about $30.
